Genetic Fallacy

yep, this has very little to do with the science of genetics



  • Genetic Fallacy - A logical fallacy where a conclusion is drawn based on the origin of an idea rather than the qualities or context of the idea itself.
  • Political Idea proposed and gains some popular support
  • Opponents of the idea attack the character of the politician who proposed it
  • People think that because the politician has faulty character his idea must be bad.
