The Suffering Loop

Dialog:

• Port:
  • You know what is kind of crazy? That people actually want to claim they have suffered more than someone else.
  • They want to win a suffering contest.
• Starboard:
  • If someone just barely wins a suffering contest, the extra suffering of losing might really make the other person the winner.
  • But, when the winner is changed the previous winner suffers through having victory taken from him. That could again change who the winner is.
• Port:
  • Oh, no! A suffering loop!
  • It might only stop when their buffers overflow!
